Peters On The Passing Of Graham Stairmand
New Zealand First Leader Winston Peters has expressed his condolences to the family and close acquaintances of Grey
Power National President Graham Stairmand following his passing this afternoon.
“We were aware that Graham had been in hospital for some time and missed him at the Grey Power AGM earlier this year,”
said Mr Peters.
“He was a strong voice and advocate for seniors the country over, and we in New Zealand First had met with him regularly
over the past several years in his advocacy role.
“Graham was a strong supporter of the power of MMP being able to deliver for seniors and we had been happy to work with
him to deliver policies to make the lives of seniors better.
“He was always forthright in his advocacy and told it as he saw it, but we enjoyed working with him and we will miss
him.
“New Zealand First remains committed to working with Grey Power and we will remember Graham fondly,” concluded Mr
Peters.
