Housing Equity Scheme First Of Election Bribes
Rodney Hide MP
Friday, May 16 2008
ACT Leader Rodney Hide today dismissed the Labour-led Government's Housing Equity Scheme as the as an election year bribe.
"And it is the first of many to come," Mr Hide said.
"This scheme is a band-aid to the problem of high interest rates, low wages and high housing costs.
"The scheme is the Government's admission of its failure to provide a decent economy for all New Zealanders. What Kiwis need is decent economic management - not to be bribed with their own money to vote Labour," Mr Hide said.
