UF releases disability discussion document
UnitedFuture deputy leader Judy Turner today released a discussion document on disability issues seeking public input to help inform the party’s policy.
“We support the intentions and direction of the NZ Disability Strategy, but we believe that there is an unacceptable gap between policy and practise in many service areas,” she said.
“In line with our policy of listening, then speaking, we are seeking the views of those closely involved with the disabled so that we can go into the next election with a clear policy that is tightly aligned with the personal experience of New Zealanders.
Mrs Turner would like submissions on the document with her by the end of May 2008
