Kiwis Against Sale of State Owned Assets
New Zealand First is not surprised to see the results of the ONE News Colmar Brunton poll which emphatically confirmed New Zealanders’ desire to keep prime dividend producing assets in New Zealand hands, says the party’s economic development spokesperson Doug Woolerton.
“Sensible people understand that while it is true that Auckland Airport, to quote a current case, will not get up and walk away, the profits and dividends can and do. We, in New Zealand First, are adamant that New Zealand assets remain firmly under New Zealand ownership and control.
“One only needs to look at the shambles in the current international financial system to realise we should not be listening to the New Zealand equivalent for sound advice.
“New Zealand First has always been confident that our citizens are well informed and have New Zealand’s wider interests at heart,” said Mr Woolerton.
