1. GERRY BROWNLEE to the Minister of Energy: Has he received a report on yesterday’s National Winter Group meeting led by Transpower; if so, what did the report conclude on electricity supply security in New Zealand for this coming winter?
2. MOANA MACKEY to the Minister of Education: What action is the Government taking to ensure all young people achieve their potential through education?
3. Hon TONY RYALL to the Minister of Health: Why are New Zealand public hospitals “unacceptably unsafe”?
4. JEANETTE FITZSIMONS to the Minister for the Environment: Which conclusions in draft chapter 13 of the State of the Environment report was he referring to when he reportedly said on Monday that the chapter had been scrapped because it made a series of conclusions that were not strictly supported by the facts?
5. Hon Dr NICK SMITH to the Minister responsible for Climate Change Issues: Can he confirm that when the Climate Change Minister said in 2002 that “New Zealand will be a net seller of credits, with a positive balance of about 11 million tons of carbon dioxide equivalent a year. At a world price of say $20 a tonne, that would be $220 million a year, net, into the economy.”, the Government was expecting a $1.1 billion surplus over the five years to 2012 from the Kyoto Protocol?
