New Zealand First is calling on New Zealanders to celebrate the Kiwi lifestyle.
“After so much negative publicity in our newspapers in recent times, perhaps it is time to focus on the positive, and appreciate what makes New Zealand great,” said New Zealand First spokesperson for the environment, Doug Woolerton.
“Yesterday, the country celebrated its national day. Despite media attempts to create controversy, most New Zealanders got out and enjoyed our wonderful environment and lifestyle. The vast majority of those at Waitangi ignored the TV inspired political antics and celebrated accordingly.
“This country is blessed with natural God-given beaches, mountains, sea and clean air. Above all, we must protect these things and ensure they remain freely available to everyone. We enjoy a beautiful landscape, a relatively small population and a lifestyle that most people in the world can only dream about, and we take these luxuries for granted.
“People do not come here for the ability to create great wealth. They can do that in New York, London or Beijing. It is how we live and interact with our environment that is at the heart of our great lifestyle.
“New Zealand First is determined to maintain that lifestyle for all New Zealanders,” said Mr Woolerton.
