Declare War on Outrageous Gang Activity Says New Zealand First
New Zealanders are sick and tired of their streets and lives being increasingly polluted by criminal gang activities and
intimidation, says New Zealand First law and order spokesperson Ron Mark.
He was commenting on the serious problem of underage teenage prostitution run by gang pimps in South Auckland and the
threats of gang reprisals against a family in Christchurch if they complain to the city council about a dangerous dog
attacking their children.
“These incidents show that gangsters are ruling too many streets in this country, and doing pretty much as they like
with the lives of vulnerable young people whose futures are blighted by these ruthless criminals.
“The South Auckland community should help and encourage the police in their efforts against the local gangs and dob in
these thugs who are causing the harm.”
Mr Mark said the Christchurch case of threatened reprisals if the dog attack was reported was unacceptable in a
so-called civilised society.
“A dangerous dog is a threat and should be destroyed. The owner should be prosecuted. It is as simple as that. If some
local mobsters want to protect this animal, lock them up as well.
“Like all bullies, gang members are cowards and can only operate within a group that appears strong and united. A good
start towards resolving some of these problems would be if the government got serious and banned gangs.
“Make no mistake. Every gang member is a criminal. That is how they gain entry to this unsavoury brotherhood,” said Mr
Mark.
