A Great New Zealander And An Even Greater Human Being
New Zealand First leader Winston Peters today joined with others in expressing his condolences to Lady Hillary and Hillary family.
Sir Ed was without peer in New Zealand in his iconic status.
In many ways he literally put New Zealand on the international map, but rather than rest on his laurels following his great achievements he led a life of humble excellence and even greater service.
He was a role model for his and every generation since.
Fortunately his legacy will not be forgotten, but will be carried on through future generations of New Zealand adventurers.
Today New Zealand lost a great adventurer, role model and human being.
