Mobile termination rate decision delegated
Communications Minister David Cunliffe has delegated the decision on the Commerce Commission's mobile termination rate recommendations to his colleague, Economic Development Minister Trevor Mallard.
"This delegation is for the purposes of the mobile termination rate decision only," Mr Cunliffe said.
"The delegation is being made to avoid any perceptions of a conflict of interest."
Trevor Mallard indicated that he would study submissions and briefings over the Christmas period and that he hopes to make a decision within two months.
