NZ Made to be showcased at Parliament
Food to fire engines, wine to wind turbines, socks to sound systems; these Kiwi-made products and more will be showcased
at Parliament on Wednesday 8 November.
Government Spokesperson on Buy Kiwi-Made, Green MP Sue Bradford, is hosting the invitation-only showcase as the first of
six regional events that kick-off the Government's Buy Kiwi Made programme.
"We have been overwhelmed by the response of firms wanting to showcase their Kiwi-made goods," says Sue Bradford.
"A range of mostly lower North Island made products have been selected for this event, many more will be showcased in
the other regional events which will be held early next year."
The event also marks the first anniversary of the death of Green Co-Leader Rod Donald, who was the champion of Buy Kiwi
Made and ensured it became one of the two top cooperation agreements between the Green Party and the Government. His
work will be acknowledged on the day.
Speakers at the showcase will be Sue Bradford, Phil O'Reilly representing the Buy NZ Made campaign and Andrew Little
from the manufacturing union, EPMU.
