Bad news report withheld
National Party Welfare spokeswoman Judith Collins says Ruth Dyson should release a CYF report on child homicides.
"In Parliament today, the Minister has admitted that the department has had a draft report since March 2005, but it has not been released because it contains contentious issues.
"The public deserve to know what those issues are."
Ms Collins is also disappointed that the Minister has been unable to provide a reasonable explanation for claims that groups which were supposed to have been involved in the review haven't even been contacted for input.
"Report after report has shown failure after failure at CYF. How bad could this report be?"
