Smith's Claims Inaccurate and Irresponsible
Building Issues Minister Clayton Cosgrove says speculation by Nick Smith about help for owners of leaky homes is inaccurate and irresponsible.
"There has been no leak. It is no secret that the government has been consulting widely with home owners and the building and financial sectors about how best to improve the weathertight homes resolution process and get homes fixed faster," said Mr Cosgrove.
"The government will be making an announcement on its decisions shortly."
"Mr Smith is yet again playing politics with peoples' lives, and I am not going to play his sordid game," said Mr Cosgrove.
