Energy sector shambles
National Party State Owned Enterprises spokeswoman Katherine Rich says the Government has created a shambles in the
energy sector which needs urgent attention.
“Labour’s regulations are an absolute disaster and have the potential to put at risk New Zealand’s security of supply.”
Mrs Rich is commenting after the Commerce Commission stated its intention to take control of Transpower’s transmission
services after the company breached regulatory thresholds.
“The Minister needs to make it clear who is in charge at Transpower - the Government-appointed Board, or the Commerce
Commision?”
