John Carter recuperating after surgery
Northland MP John Carter is on leave from Parliament for the next six weeks, recovering from surgery.
Mr Carter was recently diagnosed with an early, isolated case of bowel cancer.
He says the prognosis is good and he does not expect to be away from Parliament for more than six weeks.
During his absence, constituents should contact his electorate office which will forward any cases requiring urgent attention to Mr Carter’s colleagues in Parliament.
Mr Carter is at Wakefield Hospital in Wellington.
