Bailey a scapegoat for incompetent management
National's Broadcasting spokeswoman, Georgina Te Heuheu, says TVNZ has made newsreader Judy Bailey a scapegoat for its incompetent management and falling ratings.
"How much further do TV One's ratings have to plummet before Labour starts holding someone accountable?
"There are much bigger problems at TVNZ than simply one presenter, but they are too blinkered to see that.
"Ian Fraser and others like Bill Ralston need to be accountable for the flight of viewers to other channels.
"Labour needs to take a cold, hard look at the performance of Ian Fraser - the man it appointed to the job.
"Things are going awry at TVNZ and it is time the leadership was held accountable," says Mrs Te Heuheu.
