Winston confused; Kiwis bemused
The Green Party has welcomed Winston Peters' latest clarification on what he will do after the election.
"There's three days to go till polling, so we can expect three more post-election positions from Winston," Co-Leader Rod Donald says
"The more he tries to clarify his position, the more confused it becomes. Whichever way you look at it, the NZ First leader is running away from responsibility.
"But while we all wait with bated breath for Winston to announce yet another post-election clarification, the Greens are grateful he has confirmed his opposition to a Labour-Green Government.
"This gives voters the clear choice they deserve. They can either give their party vote to the Greens with the certainty and security this will deliver a Labour-Progressive-Green Government, or they can let Winston play games with their party vote and New Zealand's future.
"Winston may be grabbing headlines because he keeps changing his mind on his post-election intentions, but voters are simply left bemused and confused. Meanwhile, support for the Greens is firming because discerning voters appreciate our policies and our clear commitment to support a Labour-led government post-election."
