New poll shows Hide leading in Epsom

ACT Leader and Epsom candidate Rodney Hide said today he was delighted with the result of a new poll that shows him leading in the race for the battleground seat.
The poll of 362 Epsom voters has Mr Hide on 32.87 per cent, National's Richard Worth on 26.52 per cent, Labour's Stuart Nash on 12.43 per cent and other on 1.93 per cent. 26.24 per cent remain undecided.
"Today's poll confirms ACT is back," Mr Hide said. "Epsom voters are smart - they realise that they need to give Rodney Hide their electorate vote to ensure a National-led government.
"Richard Worth's high placing on National's list means he will return to Parliament no matter what the outcome of the election in Epsom.
"Epsom is the most important electorate in the country. It may spell the difference between three more years of bossy boots Helen Clark and a Labour/Green government or a National-led government.
"Epsom voters know that by voting for Rodney Hide they can get Richard Worth, me, the ACT team, plus a National-led government.
"This poll is encouraging, but there's still along way to go. The message I'm delivering to Epsom voters is tick Rodney Hide to change the government," Mr Hide said.
* The Capitol Research poll of 362 Epsom voters has a margin of error of +/- 5.25 per cent.
