Senator Bob Brown to meet Tampa refugee leader
Australian Green Senator Bob Brown's visit to New Zealand tomorrow now includes a visit to the Mangere Refugee Centre and a meeting with the leader of the 'Tampa refugees' who have settled in New Zealand.
Senator Brown has been at the forefront of opposition to the Australian Government's immigration policies and has stood against the Tampa scandal and detention camps.
At his media conference in Auckland tomorrow morning, Bob Brown will make a call to New Zealand politicians to 'keep it clean' during the current election campaign here.
At his Thursday night public meeting, titled 'From campaigner to Canberra', Bob will speak on his experiences as a conservationist both inside and outside of Parliament.
