Greens mourn noted conservationist
Kevin Smith will be missed by the entire conservation movement and the Green Party, Co-Leader Jeanette Fitzsimons says.
Conservationist Kevin Smith, 52, died suddenly yesterday when cycling in Wellington.
"Kevin was a long-standing friend and colleague and news of his death came as a deep shock to me," Ms Fitzsimons says.
"He made an enormous contribution to New Zealand and would have achieved so much more in the years ahead. He lived life to the absolute fullest and his death is being widely mourned."
