What the Greens really want from Labour
National Party Deputy Leader Gerry Brownlee says working New Zealanders will pay a heavy price if there is ever a Greens/Labour Government.
"The Greens have policies that even the McGillicuddy Serious Party would be proud of. But it's the taxpayer who will end up carrying the cost as the Greens try to impose their loopy ideas on the rest of us."
Mr Brownlee says voters need to know just how damaging some of the Greens/Labour policies would be to our economy and our way of life.
"For starters, Sue Bradford would see to it there is a complete smacking ban while Nandor Tanczos would bring us a relaxation in drug laws.
"Road funding would be frozen, with the money diverted elsewhere - while new taxes and levies would be slapped on everything from landfills to plastic bags.
"In the current Parliament, only Labour and the Greens oppose tax relief for hardworking Kiwis.
"Electricity and fuel prices would skyrocket - thanks to the Greens 'eco tax' and its naive support for the carbon charge.
"Imported goods would become more expensive due to oppressive recycling rules, and some imports would even be banned.
"The Greens support taxpayer money being spent on race-based funding, including Maori spiritual healing.
"Employees would be encouraged to go on strike for economic and environmental reasons - not just issues relating to employment - and the Greens would allow teenagers earlier entry into the welfare trap.
"If people think we're too 'PC' already, a Greens/Labour Government would be far worse.
"Taxes would increase, the brain drain would accelerate, and New Zealand would become an international laughing stock. The now-abandoned fart tax was just a sneak preview of what would be in store.
"However, mainstream New Zealanders can put a stop to this nonsense, by giving their party vote to National," says Mr Brownlee.
