National names tax day
National Party Leader Don Brash has confirmed that he will release his party's taxation policy next Monday, August 22.
"I have already made it clear that I will not personally campaign on the day of the funeral of former Prime Minister David Lange, or the day of his memorial service, as a mark of respect.
"Now that we have been advised of the relevant dates, I am in a position to confirm our timetable.
"This Thursday, August 18, the Treasury will release its Pre-Election Fiscal Update.
"On Friday, August 19, National Party Finance spokesman John Key will be outlining the Budget parameters for the National Party programme.
"On Monday, August 22, I will release our taxation policy in Auckland," Dr Brash says.
