Hollow threats
Jim Sutton is now resorting to hollow threats to forward his stalled rural access policy, commonly known as ‘right to roam’ says ACT New Zealand Rural Affairs spokesman.
“Rural New Zealand’s reaction to Minister Jim Sutton’s panicking will be ‘go right ahead Minister’.
“The result will be massive surveying costs; legal challenges with few if any positive outcomes.
“All the Government needs to do is set up an access commission with funding to negotiate access without any compensation.
“It is not difficult Jim,” Mr Eckhoff said.
