Cullen needs to have a lie-down
National's Finance spokesman, John Key, says Michael Cullen is inventing nonsense around tax in an attempt to put up a smokescreen to disguise his own Budget failings.
"He has just delivered one of the worst Budgets in New Zealand's history, which the public soundly rejected, and is making more and more wild claims in a desperate bid to recover his position.
"We have made it very clear that when National rolls out its tax plan it will do so with a fully costed analysis that will allow the people of New Zealand to see what is going on. The numbers stack up.
"Michael Cullen is over-taxing himself. He needs to have a nice cup of tea and a lie-down till he sees the details of our policy. He is likely to do himself a mischief if he goes on blowing his valves at this rate," Mr Key says.
