NZ First Still Has To Do Minister’s Job
Three more Iraqi officials from Saddam Hussein’s regime were named in Parliament by Rt Hon Winston Peters today, highlighting again the incompetence of the Immigration Minister and his failing Immigration Service.
“How can it be that the Minister, with his huge team of bureaucrats supposedly now focused on this task, is unable to locate these undesirables, when we know where they are?” asked Mr Peters.
“New Zealanders cannot have any confidence in government reassurances that they are doing something when a review of immigration services won’t take effect for two years and many of these unwanted individuals are already walking our streets.
“The Minister should resign and hand the reigns over to someone with the capability and desire to clean the immigration service up.
“The nation is crying out for action on this issue. The time for talk is over. New Zealanders will be able to elect a party that will do something at the next election and we would encourage the Prime Minister to quickly set the date,” said Mr Peters.
