Cullen welcomes Key lines
Finance Minister Michael Cullen today welcomed John Key’s acknowledgement that National would fund its tax cuts by cuts to spending, “probably including health and education.”
“I look forward now to National’s alternative budget which I expect to provide some detail regarding where and when these cuts will be made. How many hip operations will be cancelled? How many schools closed, and where?
“If we are going to have a debate about these issues, we need to have all the facts on the table. John has made a good start,” Dr Cullen said.
