Copeland backs tax changes
United Future revenue spokesman Gordon Copeland has welcomed the tax changes announced by the Government today as 'a step in the right direction'.
"The changes reduce the compliance costs for business; reduce the Fringe Benefit Tax burden on business; and enhance the taxation harmonisation measures between Australia and New Zealand.
"The $77 million of tax forgone by the Government through these changes is, in the grand scheme of things, not large but at least it's a step in the right direction," said Mr Copeland.
