New Zealand – The Last Asian Colony
Rt Hon Winston Peters says Maori will be disturbed to know that in 17 years’ time they will be outnumbered by Asians in New Zealand.
According to figures released by Statistics New Zealand, the Asian population is projected to increase by 145 percent from 270,000 to 670,000, while the Maori and European population is projected to increase by 29 percent and five percent respectively.
“The Government’s lax immigration laws are changing the face of our country forever. Statistics New Zealand’s figures demonstrate a huge demographic change with social and cultural implications which will echo through the centuries ahead.
“At this rate, it won’t take long for New Zealand to be unrecognisable.”
Mr Peters said his concern was not about racism or bigotry but about the impact of mass immigration on a small state in the South Pacific.
“New Zealanders have little or no say on policies that are making irreversible changes to their country.
“The scary thing is, the situation is only going to get worse, and New Zealanders are going to be left wondering where their country has gone.
“New Zealand First intends to raise the living standards of those New Zealanders here now, rather than adding new pressures through unrestricted immigration. This will be the central feature of our new immigration policy which will be released in the near future,” concluded Mr Peters.
