McIntosh should still be in jail
Recidivist child rapist Lloyd McIntosh should be in jail, not seeking part-time work as a free man, ACT Associate
Justice spokesman Deborah Coddington today said.
McIntosh, who is currently the subject of a 10-year supervision order, has been sending his CV to prospective employers
looking for a job.
"McIntosh shouldn't have been let out of prison in the first place. People who pose an on-going risk to society should
be locked up for life.
"Let's not forget that supervising McIntosh is costing hard-working taxpayers up to $350,000 a year to enforce - that's
more than what the PM earns.
"And if Labour lets McIntosh earn money, while taxpayers pay heavily for his supervision, shouldn't he be required to
contribute to that cost?
"The only reason that McIntosh is out of prison and peddling his CV is because of Labour's soft-on-crime policies.
"The public deserves to be protected from the likes of McIntosh. Longer sentences and scrapping parole would be an
excellent start," Miss Coddington said.
