Where’s Joris on holocaust comments?
National Party Maori Affairs spokesman Gerry Brownlee is calling on Joris de Bres to sign up for the Labour Party “and be open about it” given his silence on John Tamihere’s appalling holocaust comments.
“Last February, after Don Brash gave his speech at Orewa the Race Relations Commissioner waded straight in.
“He spoke openly to the media, and even revealed that he was investigating complaints against Dr Brash.
“His silence over the past week speaks volumes. I am seeking his assurance that if he receives a complaint he will investigate, and alert the media to that investigation.
“Otherwise he might as well sign up for the Labour Party and be open about it,” says Mr Brownlee.
