Launch - Photo op: Pre-budget announcement
Education Minister Trevor Mallard will be launching a new framework tomorrow, Foundations for Discovery. This is the
first ever early childhood education (ECE) guide for using ICT (information communications technology) to strengthen the
education young children receive, and to help ECE services operate.
Trevor Mallard will launch the resource, and an early childhood teacher from Auckland's Roskill South Kindergarten,
Karen Ramsey will also speak, explaining how ICT is being used to enhance children's learning and teaching at her
kindergarten.
Children and teachers from the Aubert Childcare Centre, Island Bay, will also be attending the launch and showing the
minister and guests their experiences of using ICT at their centre.
Media and photographers are invited to attend.
