Prime Minister welcomes Royal engagement
Prime Minister Helen Clark today welcomed news of the announcement of Prince Charles' forthcoming marriage in April to Mrs Parker Bowles.
Helen Clark said that she is sending today a letter of congratulations and good wishes to Prince Charles, on behalf of the government and people of New Zealand.
"I wish Prince Charles and Mrs Parker Bowles great happiness for the future," Helen Clark said.
"Prince Charles is visiting New Zealand in early March and I look forward to extending our congratulations in person."
