Shirley attends Waitangi celebrations
Friday 4 Feb 2005
Ken Shirley - Press Releases - Treaty of Waitangi & Maori Affairs
ACT Whip Ken Shirley today said he was pleased to respond to the invitation from Eruera Taurua and Te Hapae Ashby to represent ACT at the political forum at Te Tiriti O Waitangi Marae on Saturday at 2pm.
"Having participated in the Waitangi commemorations on many occasions I look forward to this event.
"I am appalled at Titiwhai Harawira's claim on National Radio today that no political parties have been invited to Waitangi this year; clearly she is mistaken," Mr Shirley said.
