Greens to greet great gourd group
Green MPs and performance artists Mike Ward and Metiria Turei will today be meeting Australian eco-band Totally Gourdgeous for a photo opportunity at Parliament.
"Totally Gourdgeous are a beautifully bizarre band in which all the instruments are made of gourds. Imagine Joni Mitchell and James Brown getting down in Bob Marley's pumpkin patch! Four of Australia's foremost singer / songwriters playing messages of love, fellowship and environmental sanity." See www.totallygourdgeous.com for more information.
The band will be meeting Mike and Meyt mid-afternoon between their appearances on Concert FM and Wayne Mowat's show on National Radio.
