Do we really need the new mega power lines?
Green Party Co-Leader Jeanette Fitzsimons is to speak in Putaruru next Monday on why the new mega power lines planned for the Waikato are unnecessary. The public meeting has been called by local people concerned at Transpower’s plans for their district.
Jeanette will explain why the resulting damage to health, landscape, environment and property values is totally unnecessary and outline a package of alternative ways to keep the lights on.

When: 12:30pm, Monday, 13 December
Where: Timber Museum, SH1, two kilometres south of Putaruru, South Waikato.
