United Future’s significant contribution to economic success
United Future takes great pride in its contribution towards creating the conditions that have led the Moody’s rating
agency to give New Zealand and the government a triple-A rating, according to the party’s leader, Peter Dunne.
“Moody’s points to the stable political environment which has resulted in an institutional framework that consistently
produces disciplined fiscal and monetary policies,” he said.
“United Future’s confidence and supply agreement with the Labour-led Government was specifically designed to bring
stable government to New Zealand and the country is now reaping the benefit of that.
“This is in stark contrast to the chaos that surrounded the National-New Zealand First coalition Government and the
equally dysfunctional Labour-Alliance coalition.
“This excellent rating proves our strategy of making MMP work was correct and has been good for the economy and people
of New Zealand,” said Mr Dunne.
