Hobbs welcomes Blumsky to the race
Wellington Central MP Marian Hobbs today welcomed the announcement that Mark Blumsky is to contest the electorate for National.
"I welcome Mark, whatever party he is standing for. I am proud to be part of a Labour team that has delivered for Wellington Central voters," Marian Hobbs said.
"With Labour in government since 1999, Wellington has experienced strong economic and employment growth. Unemployment is down from 6.3% to 3.9%. There is record public investment in health services and local schools.
"I am very proud of our government's support for the creative industries in Wellington, something National has never been committed to.
“I look forward to a clean campaign from Mark. I am confident that I will be continuing to represent Wellington Central at the heart of the Labour-led government, after next year's election."
