PM Ducks Responsibility Over Speeding

ACT New Zealand Leader Rodney Hide today said it was appalling that Prime Minister Helen Clark has escaped any blame for her speeding motorcade, while those who work on her behalf will get hammered.
"Helen Clark pretends not to know what is going on when it suits her, and is quite happy to let those who work for her swing.
"Once again we see what Helen Clark's new standards are. Nothing is ever her fault - it's always someone else's.
"We now have a Prime Minister who is not even prepared to take any responsibility for her own motorcade.
"The motorcade wouldn't have been speeding like a bat out of hell if it didn't have Helen Clark on board. It's just not credible that the PM was unaware that it was breaking the law.
"The police officers were speeding with the PM's tacit approval, if not her direct approval. It was a Prime Ministerial motorcade; she has to take ultimate responsibility for it speeding.
"She's the boss, and everyone knows that," Mr Hide said.
