$8 million more a day in taxes
"Statistics New Zealand has confirmed what Kiwis already know - that they are being overtaxed," says National Party Finance Spokesman John Key
"According to the figures released today, New Zealand individuals and companies paid an extra $8 million a day in taxes, an increase that saw Crown income soar to $46,842 million," says Mr Key.
"The tax bucket is so full even Jim Anderton thinks it's time to cut taxes," says Mr Key, noting that the Finance Minister has today offered less than warm support for the idea put forward by his Government's coalition partner.
