Alexander thanks Tanczos for promotional help
United Future law & order spokesman Marc Alexander today thanked Green justice spokesman Nandor Tanczos for his co-operation in promoting Mr Alexander’s book on justice reform.
Mr Alexander was quizzing Corrections Minister Paul Swain in Parliament about the success or otherwise of a prisoner rehabilitation programme when Mr Tanczos intervened to point out that Mr Alexander was associated with a rival rehabilitation programme whose website was advertising Mr Alexander’s book, “Justice with both eyes open”.
Mr Alexander said later “I’m delighted Mr Tanczos is so impressed with my book that he’s actively advertising it and I urge him to read past the title page in order to develop an intelligent set of policies on justice reform, rather than his obsession with making illegal drugs more easily available.
“I’m also pleased Mr Tanczos has been researching private rehabilitation programmes that do not need a hugely expensive bureaucratic army to operate.
“It’s taken two years but it’s now becoming clear that Mr Tanczos is finally coming to realise that not all government services are best delivered by centralised bureaucracies. I look forward to getting his support on other commonsense United Future policies,” said Mr Alexander.
