Green MPs host foreshore forum ahead of hikoi
Green MPs Jeanette Fitzsimons and Metiria Turei are hosting an open discussion around the Government's foreshore and seabed legislation this Friday (15th October), the day before the hikoi through Auckland.
"The foreshore issue is inextricably tied up with our history as two peoples in one land, with our sense of identity and with how we move forward into our future," said Ms Fitzsimons. "Perhaps the saddest aspect of the proposed legislation has been the lack of meaningful consultation around it, which is why we've organised this forum."
Forum on the Foreshore and Seabed: Time: 6pm, Friday 15th October. Place: Green Office, 308 North Road, Grey Lynn.
Note: Green MPs Jeannette Fitzsimons and Nandor Tanczos are participating in Saturday's hikoi, which Ms Fitzsimons has been invited to address.
