Nandor in New Plymouth to speak on justice
Green Party Justice Spokesperson Nandor Tanczos MP is visiting New Plymouth this week to speak on and discuss the place
of justice in prison reform.
The proposition being posed at a public meeting on Thursday night is: 'Longer sentences or less crime? Rethinking
Justice'. The Greens approach to crime reduction is based on the principle of justice not retribution.
"Justice is about more than how we deal with crime. It is about how we create a fair, peaceful and sustainable world. We
must begin now to both trial restorative justice approaches across the country and build public awareness of the
potential of this approach," said Nandor.
