It's Official: Too Tough To Do Business In NZ

Rodney Hide - Press Releases - Economy
ACT New Zealand Leader Rodney Hide today was unsurprised by the Small Business Advisory Group's recommendations, that tell Labour what everyone else knows: business is sick and tired of red tape and the pitfalls associated with hiring and firing staff.
"The Group's annual report, released today, has highlighted just how hard it is for business to thrive in New Zealand under this Government," Mr Hide said.
"Labour is suffocating the entrepreneurial spirit of New Zealanders under a mountain of compliance costs and bureaucratic red tape.
"Small Business Minister John Tamihere has pledged to take heed of the report's recommendations. But my message to business is not to hold its breath.
"The only way to get a business-friendly government is to vote out this anti-business, socialist one, and replace it with a Don Brash/ACT coalition government that understands the needs of business," Mr Hide said.
