Crown Forestry Rental Trust Has Learnt Little
The Crown Forestry Rental Trust appears to have learnt little from the Maori Affairs Select Committee examination into its activities said New Zealand First Leader, Rt Hon Winston Peters.
“This huge fund with total capital of $436 million actually only paid claimant beneficiaries less than $5 million in the last financial year.
“The Trust continues to gorge itself on their annual available income having spent on itself just under $11 million, more than twice that paid out to Maori claimants.
“Clearly the Trust does not understand its trust deed and continues to dramatically fail the Maori people and all New Zealanders.
“Obviously the Trust, if it is to continue, needs new leadership at the top,” concluded the Mr Peters.
