New MSA and RST Board appointments
Adrienne Young Cooper to the Maritime Safety Authority and Yani Johanson to the Road Safety Trust.
Transport Minister Hon Pete Hodgson today announced two new board appointments. Adrienne Young Cooper has been appointed to the board of the Maritime Safety Authority and Yani Johanson has as been appointed as a Trustee to the Road Safety Trust.
Ms Young Cooper has her own business specialising in strategic planning and environmental activity. She is also a Director of Auckland Regional Transport Networks Ltd and Solid Energy Ltd.
"Ms Young Cooper is going to bring a different perspective to the Maritime Safety Authority, I am delighted to have a person with her business and governance experience join the board." said Mr Hodgson.
Mr Johanson has been appointed to the Road Safety Trust as the youth representative. He is also a youth representative and board member for the Tenants Protection Association and was elected to the Hagley/Ferrymead Community Board in 2001. He is also a founding Trustee of Blah Blah Entertainment Trust.
Mr Hodgson said, "Mr Johanson is extremely active in his community and has experience in representing young people's interests. He is a welcome addition to the Road Safety Trust."
