National MP Clem Simich has trouble in Tamaki whichever way you look at it, ACT New Zealand MP and Tamaki candidate Ken Shirley said today.
"I welcome the internal National Party challenge from Margaret Voyce, who clearly believes that the people of Tamaki deserve more active representation," Mr Shirley said.
"At the last election, I increased my constituency vote massively when I campaigned strictly for the party vote only. This is a clear indication of the level of dissatisfaction with the incumbent.
"ACT can win the Tamaki seat, and it is my intention to mount a very vigorous campaign. A vote for Ken Shirley in Tamaki would be the best way of ensuring that the policies espoused by National Leader Dr Don Brash are implemented," Mr Shirley said.
