Media Advisory: Rt Hon Winston Peters To Visit Christchurch
New Zealand First leader the Rt Hon Winston Peters will be part of two significant events in Christchurch on Friday 18 June.
The first will be a landmark speech by Mr Peters outlining the current machinations in New Zealand politics – including the newly formed Maori party – and New Zealand First’s positioning going forward toward the 2005 election.
The speech will take place from 12.30 at the Papanui Club, 310 Sawyers Road, Bishopdale, Christchurch. This is an open meeting with members of the public and the media encouraged to attend.
Mr Peters will also be speaking to local media regarding these issues.
The second major event will be Mr Peters’ attendance at a meeting of the Muslim Association Canterbury – including Association President Khalifa Al Hasi and other key leaders at their premises -101 Deans Avenue, Riccarton, Christchurch at 5.30pm
Mr Peters is looking forward to the exchange of views and ideas which is being offered through his invitation to attend this meeting.
