Act Leadership Show For Nz 'Idle'
Act’s absurd leadership show is really aimed at creating New Zealand’s political “idle” and is developing into a sideshow according to Rt Hon Winston Peters.
Mr Peters said today that most people viewed the four-way leadership contest between four Act MPs as a contest to find the most suitable political undertaker among them.
“There will be nothing left for the leader to do after the next election. All the Act MPs will fittingly become New Zealand ‘idles’ in their own right as they have been preparing for this for a long time.
“It is surprising to me that a certain television channel has not latched on to the absurdity of the Act idle show and developed it into a reality horror show.
“Perhaps the four contestants could be transported to a desert island and forced to live off the land or their wits for a couple of months and this could all be filmed for television.
“The possibilities of real live do it yourself entertainment are endless,” said Mr Peters.
“If all else failed the Act MPs could start their own cooking, gardening, house renovation, or personal advice programmes.
“At least we would all have a bit of a laugh,” said Mr Peters.
