Anderton Offers More Lollies In Scramble

Rodney Hide - Press Releases - Economy
Economic Development Minister Jim Anderton and Finance Minister Dr Michael Cullen are presenting voters with a clear choice at the next election, ACT New Zealand Finance Spokesman Rodney Hide said today.
"Today, the Labour Government announced that it will fork out $30.7 million taxpayers' dollars to local businesses for economic development," Mr Hide said.
"Under Mr Anderton and Dr Cullen, business will be taxed hard. Mr Anderton will play Father Christmas by scattering a few taxpayer-supplied lollies for business to scramble.
"The alternative is ACT's policy of a top company, and personal, tax rate of 20 cents in the dollar, and the elimination of red tape that is tying Kiwi businesses in knots.
"That has got to be a lot better than a few lollies," Mr Hide said.
