Richard Taylor of Wellington receives the insignia of Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit from the Governor-General Dame Silvia Cartwright at an investiture ceremony at Government House today. Mr Taylor is the co-founder of Weta Workshop and Weta Digital, one of the most successful special effects studios in the world. Earlier this year, he received two Oscars for his work on Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.
