Kedgley hosts controversial GE author
Green Party MP, Sue Kedgley will host international author, Jeffrey M. Smith at a public meeting in Wellington on Monday 9th February.
Mr Smith is the author of Hard to Swallow: The Dangers of GE Food. The book is an expose of international corporate manipulation and political collusion in the introduction of GE food into people's daily diet.
Hard to Swallow, which created a lot of interest on its publication in the United States, chronicles a history of deception and dishonesty at the highest levels of government and big business.
Jeffrey M. Smith has been writing and teaching about genetically engineered foods for nearly a decade. He has worked in America on labelling GE foods, keeping GE food out of schools and on legislation to protect farmers from the "drift" of GE crops.
